Ukraine fortifies Chernobyl zone against feared Russian attack from the north

Ukraine is reinforcing defences in the Chernobyl exclusion zone amid fears of a renewed Russian offensive from the north, German weekly Der Spiegel reports. Fortifications, shelters and protective nets are being installed in the area. The measures aim to prevent a repeat of the scenario, when Russian forces occupied the nuclear plant's grounds.
