Newcastle United and Aston Villa are both reportedly targeting Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha, who appears surplus to requirements in Munich. The two Premier League clubs previously competed for Johan Manzambi, who ultimately joined Aston Villa over Newcastle. Palhinha could leave Bayern this summer transfer window.
