KO politician suspended over flood aid scandal — husband's firm received funds

Anna Konieczyńska, vice-president of the Karkonosze Regional Development Agency, has been suspended from the Civic Coalition (KO) and faces an internal disciplinary hearing. She is accused of irregularities in distributing flood-relief funds after the 2024 floods, with money allegedly going to three entities linked to her, including her husband's company. The District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra has launched a preliminary investigation.
