A magnitude-6.6 earthquake struck the Pacific province of Chocó in western Colombia, injuring people and damaging buildings. The provincial governor confirmed "significant damage" in the aftermath. The tremor was felt as far away as the capital Bogotá and neighbouring Venezuela.
