Muso cut infant mortality by over 90% in Mali with door-to-door healthcare

The organisation Muso, working alongside West African governments, built a community healthcare model where professional health workers visit patients at home within 24 hours at no cost. Because the workers come from the communities they serve, trust is built in from the start. The programme also includes upgrading primary care clinics to handle referrals. In Mali alone, the initiative has achieved over a 90% drop in infant mortality rates.
