ASEAN seeks joint strategy as cyberscam industry overwhelms police

Southeast Asian governments are searching for a coordinated strategy against cyberscammers, whose criminal industry has grown too large and too embedded in regional economies to be tackled by policing alone. ASEAN member states are alarmed by the scale and interconnectedness of the threat and are looking at joint policy responses.
