Bukowiecki qualifies for European Championships final with sub-20m throw

Konrad Bukowiecki qualified for the shot put final at the European Championships despite not reaching 20 metres in any of his three attempts — his third throw proved just enough for advancement. The athlete from Szczytno had a difficult season, recording 21.34m in Białystok before suffering an elbow injury. Fellow Pole Szymon Mazur also qualified for the final.
