Nun moth threatens Polish forests — population count underway

Polish State Forests are conducting population counts of the nun moth across several forest districts. Despite its unassuming appearance, the insect poses a serious threat to pine trees, which dominate Polish forests. The monitoring aims to assess the scale of the risk and enable a timely response if needed.
