Polish Finance Ministry asks ECB to allow NBP-rate mortgages

Deputy Finance Minister Jurand Drop has written to ECB President Christine Lagarde requesting an opinion on a Polish banking sector proposal to allow mortgage interest rates to be based on the NBP reference rate. The move opens the door to a potential reform of the Polish mortgage market.
