Kurdish film-maker says ICE force-feeding over 8 months 'mentally broke me'
Gabar Choli, a Kurdish film-maker and activist deported to Canada, has spoken publicly for the first time about being force-fed over eight months while on hunger strike in ICE detention in Texas. The procedure — widely regarded as torture by international human rights groups — was carried out up to twice daily after his asylum application was denied. Choli says the treatment caused him serious physical and psychological harm.
