Melissa Donnelly named next head of Australia's trade union movement
Melissa Donnelly, national secretary of the Community and Public Sector Union, will become the next head of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), replacing Sally McManus. McManus and ACTU president Michele O'Neil announced last month they would step down after eight years as the first all-female leadership team in the organisation's 99-year history.
