Solar eclipse over Poland on 12 Aug 2026 – up to 85% coverage and Perseids same night
On 12 August 2026, Poland will witness its deepest solar eclipse since 1999, with the solar disc up to 85% obscured at the best north-western locations. Further east, the Sun will set before the eclipse peaks. The same night marks the Perseids meteor shower maximum, offering up to 100 shooting stars per hour. The path of totality crosses the Russian Arctic, eastern Greenland and western Iceland.
