Olympic champion Dawid Tomala retires with no farewell race planned

Dawid Tomala, the Olympic gold medallist from Tokyo in the 50 km race walk, has announced his retirement from competitive sport. He does not plan a farewell race and will only make a public appearance before fans in Chorzów. It is a surprise decision from one of Poland's biggest heroes of the last Games.
