Boeing starts mass production of JDAM Long Range with 550 km reach
Boeing has begun serial production of the JDAM Long Range kit, which converts gravity bombs into precision-guided munitions capable of striking targets more than 550 kilometres away. The weapon is designed as a cheaper alternative to advanced cruise missiles like JASSM, giving air forces significant firepower while keeping aircraft out of harm's way. The US sees it as a strategic tool for neutralising enemy anti-access systems at scale.
