North Korean hackers from Kimsuky use AI-generated documents in phishing attacks

A South Korean cybersecurity firm has reported that North Korean hacking group Kimsuky is using artificial intelligence to generate documents deployed in spear-phishing attacks. This is one of the first confirmed cases of a state actor using AI for cyber-espionage operations. Kimsuky has for years targeted governments, think tanks and research institutions worldwide.
