Mastercard acquires stablecoin firm BVNK for $1.8 billion

Mastercard has acquired stablecoin startup BVNK in a deal valued at $1.8 billion. Early investor Concentric offered an inside account of BVNK's journey from its founding to the eventual acquisition. The deal ranks among the largest purchases of a stablecoin firm by a traditional financial institution.
