PiS tables bill to pull Poland out of EU ETS after Senate rejects climate referendum

PiS deputy leader Przemysław Czarnek announced the tabling of a bill to withdraw Poland from the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS). The move came in response to the Senate rejecting Karol Nawrocki's motion to hold a referendum on EU climate policy. Czarnek sharply criticised the governing coalition parties for voting against the referendum.
