Renewable energy overproduction costs Poland over 100 million złoty in compensation

Favourable weather is causing renewable energy overproduction and systemic problems for the Polish electricity grid. According to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, compensation paid to operators forced to curtail green energy output has already exceeded 100 million złoty. The issue stems from insufficient storage and transmission infrastructure for wind and solar power.
