TSUE VAT ruling stays on hold – national rules on deduction deadlines unchanged for now

The Court of Justice of the EU ruling in case T-689/24 on VAT deduction deadlines remains ineffective pending the conclusion of a review. Taxpayers cannot yet invoke the ruling to apply a different deduction timeline than that set by Polish national law. Businesses must continue to follow domestic rules until the matter is resolved.
