Konfederacja tables bill to scrap Poland's deposit-return system

Konfederacja leader Sławomir Mentzen announced on Sunday that the party has submitted a bill to abolish Poland's deposit-return system. Party spokesman Wojciech Machulski called the scheme a "gigantic mistake" that unnecessarily burdens citizens. Poland's deposit-return system, which requires consumers to return drink containers in exchange for a refund, was introduced relatively recently.
