NIK audit: Kraków municipal company executives overpaid by over 1 million zlotys

Poland's Supreme Audit Office (NIK) found that executives at four Kraków municipal companies — Wodociągi Miasta Krakowa, Arena Kraków, MPEC and Centrum Giełdowe Balicka — received salaries exceeding statutory limits by over 1 million zlotys between 2022 and 2025. The payments were deemed non-compliant with the law on remuneration in state-owned enterprises.
