Businesses threaten open letter against VAT amendment: "We're being made to pay for fraudsters"

Polish businesses are sharply criticising a VAT amendment that would make honest companies financially liable when a business partner turns out to be a tax fraudster. Firms are also being given new obligations to verify their contractors, even though tax authorities already have the tools to do so. Business owners are threatening an open letter and warn the law creates a "system of over-control".
