Polish shoplifting down 20% in early 2026, but serious thefts hold steady
The number of shoplifting incidents in Poland fell by nearly one fifth in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period a year earlier. The decline is driven mainly by fewer petty offences, while more serious thefts remain at a high level.
