Fico wants to be the EU's new Orbán, but Slovakia isn't blocking Russia sanctions

Slovakia under Robert Fico has not taken Hungary's place in blocking EU sanctions against Russia, despite the prime minister's Kremlin-friendly posturing and ambitions for another term. Fico is also distancing himself from Donald Trump while remaining susceptible to Chinese and Russian influence. Analysts suggest Fico aspires to be a Eurosceptic powerbroker but lacks the leverage Orbán has wielded.
