Hong Kong hits all-time record temperature of 36.9°C as Typhoon Dolphin drives heatwave

Hong Kong recorded its highest ever temperature of 36.9°C on Sunday, surpassing all previous records since measurements began in 1884. The Hong Kong Observatory confirmed the all-time high was driven by Typhoon Dolphin pushing warm air over the city. The record breaks a mark that had stood for 142 years.
