Polish courts ordering ZUS to recalculate pensions after Constitutional Tribunal ruling
Thousands of Poles who retired early may have been receiving reduced pensions for years due to the application of Article 25(1b) of the pension act. Following a Constitutional Tribunal ruling on 4 June 2024, courts are increasingly ordering ZUS to recalculate benefits without that provision. The government is also planning legislative changes in response.
