Jarosław Abramow-Newerly, composer of "Piosenka o okularnikach," dies at 93

Polish writer and composer Jarosław Abramow-Newerly died on Sunday at the age of 93. He was best known for composing the music to Agnieszka Osiecka's "Piosenka o okularnikach" and for his prose collection "Lwy mojego podwórka." His books, including "Pan Zdzich w Kanadzie," chronicled the lives of Polish emigrants in Canada.
