Brazil to impose 24-hour delay on crypto transfers to self-custody wallets from 2027

Brazil will introduce a mandatory 24-hour waiting period on cryptocurrency transfers to self-custody wallets starting January 1, 2027. The rule will also cover fiat-backed stablecoins. The measure is aimed at tightening controls on crypto fraud.
