Solar eclipse and Perseid meteor peak coincide on 12 August

Wednesday 12 August will bring two simultaneous astronomical events: a solar eclipse and the peak of the Perseid meteor shower. The total eclipse will be visible from Spain and Iceland, while Poland will experience only a faint partial eclipse. Astronomy shows and public picnics are planned across the country.
