Syria and Russia agree on new terms for Russian military presence

After more than a year and a half of negotiations, Syria and Russia have agreed on new parameters for Russia's military presence in Syria. The Syrian government said the deal opens the way for a new phase in bilateral relations. Technical details of the agreement were not disclosed.
