Spider-Man director Cretton to helm live-action Naruto for Lionsgate

Director Destin Daniel Cretton, fresh off the blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has been confirmed to helm Lionsgate's live-action Naruto film. Filming is planned to begin in the first half of 2027. Casting for the Team 7 roles — Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura — began in July.
