FCC moves to retroactively ban previously approved DJI drones

The FCC is proposing to retroactively remove previously approved DJI drones from US shelves, targeting models it classifies as "military-grade" — those with LiDAR obstacle avoidance or thermal cameras. Affected models include the DJI Air 3S, Avata 360, Mini 5 Pro, and Mavic 3T. Drones over 55 pounds and those using docking stations would also be banned. The public comment period runs until September 2.
