Belarus forms new assault unit just 40 km from Ukrainian border in Homel
Belarus has begun forming a new airborne assault unit to be stationed in Homel, approximately 40 kilometres from the Ukrainian border. This is the latest in a series of such units in the Belarusian army, signalling a continued military build-up near the Ukrainian frontier.
