France records hottest July since 1900 with near-record drought
Last July was the hottest on record in France since measurements began in 1900, meteorological agency Meteo France announced Tuesday. The month was exceptionally sunny and nearly rainless in some regions, making it also one of the driest Julys on record. No July since 1900 had seen such extreme heat and near-drought conditions.
