16,000 volunteers from 72 countries fight in Ukraine's ranks; 40% from Latin America

Around 16,000 foreign volunteers from at least 72 countries are fighting in Ukraine's Defence Forces, according to Ukrainian Soldiers' Rights Ombudsman Olha Reshetylova. Nearly 40 percent of them are citizens of Latin American countries, making the region the largest source of non-European volunteers.
