Polish farmer Eugeniusz Kotwicki vanished in the Paris Metro in 2013

In November 2013, 43-year-old Eugeniusz Kotwicki, a farmer from a small village in the Opole region, became separated from his group when metro doors closed before he could board in Paris. He then vanished without a trace, and his fate remains unknown.
