Fake assault near Oborniki exposes people-smuggling ring — nine Afghans detained

Two foreigners reported an alleged assault in a cornfield near Oborniki in the Wielkopolska region, claiming their car keys were stolen, but police quickly saw through their fabricated story. The men were attempting to conceal their role in illegal people-smuggling. A large-scale manhunt led to the detention of nine Afghan nationals.
