Polish Ferry "Polonia" Joins Rescue Operation in the Baltic Sea

A rescue operation was carried out in the Baltic Sea on Thursday, approximately 37 kilometres east of Rügen, after a yacht crew sent out a distress signal. One of the sailors was in serious condition due to severe seasickness. German maritime rescue services and the Polish ferry "Polonia" both participated in the operation.
