Andrew Flintoff steps down as England Lions head coach after two years
Andrew Flintoff, 48, has stepped down as England Lions head coach with immediate effect after less than a year in charge, citing other commitments that prevented him from fully dedicating himself to the role. Mike Yardy will step in for the upcoming fixture against Pakistan. Flintoff had previously been cleared to leave the Lions' winter tour of South Africa early to take up a role with Sydney Thunder in Australia's Big Bash League.
