'Potentially hazardous' asteroid passes Earth on 10 August at safe 2.5 million km distance
A potentially hazardous asteroid will fly past Earth on the night of Monday, 10 August. Despite its classification — given its size — scientists assure that it will pass at a safe distance of approximately 2.5 million kilometres and poses no threat to our planet.
