The protein C3, which evolved long before the human circulatory system, may significantly improve cancer immunotherapy outcomes. When produced inside tumors, it blocks immune-suppressing cells and allows the immune system to attack cancer more effectively. Researchers replicated this effect in treatment-resistant tumors, dramatically improving survival rates in mice.
