Apple skips M6 Pro and M6 Max chips to fast-track M7 development

Bloomberg reports that Apple is skipping the M6 Pro, M6 Max and M6 Ultra chips entirely, releasing only the base M6 chip from that generation. The move is aimed at accelerating development of the M7. Apple hopes the shortened cycle will deliver next-generation performance sooner.
