Vietnam's Hmong people face climate crisis in their mountain homeland
The indigenous Hmong people of northern Vietnam's mountains have farmed terraced rice paddies and gathered medicinal plants for centuries. Today, rising temperatures, unpredictable rainfall and landslides threaten both their crops and their way of life. Deforestation is also causing traditional medicinal plants to disappear from the surrounding forests.
