Senate confirms Todd Blanche as attorney general 50–49

The US Senate confirmed Todd Blanche as attorney general in a narrow 50–49 vote. Republican senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski crossed party lines to oppose him. Senator Bill Cassidy cast the deciding vote in favour of confirmation.
