Life prisoner takes Poland to Strasbourg over new parole rules

A man sentenced to life imprisonment has filed a complaint against Poland with the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. He argues that new legislation unjustifiably extended the waiting period before he can apply for early release. The Court will now assess whether the regulations comply with the European Convention on Human Rights.
