UK, France, Germany and Italy warn Russia may annex South Ossetia

The UK, France, Germany and Italy jointly warned that Russia is likely preparing to annex South Ossetia, a separatist region of Georgia backed by Russian forces. The four NATO countries said any such move by Moscow would be met with an appropriate response.
