Scientists achieve quantum entanglement directly from sunlight

Scientists generated entangled photons directly from sunlight in an outdoor experiment, achieving about 94% similarity to an ideal quantum state. Previously, energy-intensive lasers were required for this process. The discovery could pave the way for simpler quantum satellites, secure communications systems, and more energy-efficient quantum computing.
