Village mayor reported wood theft — neighbour murdered him at his front door

Jan Sz., 61, a long-serving village mayor and volunteer fire brigade chief in Zbrza near Kielce, was murdered at his own front door by a neighbour he had reported to police for stealing wood from the forest. The killer, a cook, took violent revenge for the report. Six years on, the community still mourns the popular local activist.
