Hurkacz exits Montreal Masters in three sets after wasting match points

Hubert Hurkacz was eliminated in the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Montreal, losing to Botic van de Zandschulp 3:6, 7:6(4), 7:5. The Polish player had match points in the second set but failed to convert them, allowing the Dutchman — who previously beat Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 US Open — to clinch the victory. Hurkacz will not advance to the round of 16.
