Korean lunar orbiter photographs crater left by SpaceX rocket's moon impact

South Korea's Danuri lunar orbiter has captured images of the crater formed when a SpaceX Falcon 9 upper stage slammed into the moon on August 5. The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) said Danuri conducted eight imaging sessions, beginning 30 minutes before impact. Before-and-after footage confirmed terrain changes and ejecta traces around the impact site.
